There is nothing much special in Littman except the price, it just cancels the surrounding knowledge, and you can hear the more clear(slightly much) in this stethoscope. Otherwise, if you don't know the character and intensity of the defect, you can't able to listen even if you have the littman steth. As stethoscope price increases, it's noise canceling feature will be better.
